Former Sandy Springs city councilman Rusty Paul has called a news conference for Monday, April 22, to announce his plans for the upcoming municipal elections.
Paul, who served on City Council from 2005 to 2009, has been discussed as a candidate for mayor, should Mayor Eva Galambos decide against running for another term.
The news conference begins at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. Galambos and other members of City Council are expected to be in attendance.
When asked if he planned to announce a run for the mayor’s office, Paul responded via email, saying, “I’m sure you want to be there to find out.”
