A former E. Rivers Elementary PTA member has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for stealing from the organization, ajc.com reports.
Maryam Arjomand pleaded guilty to stealing $80,000 from the E. Rivers Parent Teacher Association.
Arjomand allegedly received checks from donors to the Buckhead school group and deposited the checks into a personal account.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that she pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years, 90 days of which must be served in jail. The remainder of the sentence will be served on probation.
