Sonic Generator, Georgia Tech’s contemporary musical ensemble, will provide the live score at a free screening of the silent classic, Metropolis, on May 28, 8 p.m., at Woodruff Arts Center’s Sifly Plaza.

Sonic Generator’s performance — featuring 16 instrumentalists and electronic sounds — will present the American premiere of Martin Matalon’s score for the recently restored edition of Fritz Lang’s 1927 sci-fi masterpiece. Metropolis will be screened dramatically onto the High Museum of Art building itself, adding to the futuristic premise of the movie.

Bring your own beach chairs and blankets and settle in for an unforgettable experience. Food and drink will be available for sale. In case of rain, check sonicgenerator.gatech.edu for updates.
