Inman Park’s Krog Street is closed between Edgewood Avenue and DeKalb Avenue to allow for AT&T utility work to occur adjacent to the Edgewood Avenue Bridge construction zone. The closure began on June 17 and will continue until Aug. 3. Access to local businesses will be maintained during the closure, but motorists should follow the detour routes listed below. The street will still be open to pedestrians and bicyclists.
Detour Route:
Krog Street northbound
– Left onto DeKalb Avenue (follow existing Edgewood Avenue detour plan)
– Right onto Boulevard
– Right onto Edgewood Avenue
– Left onto Randolph Street
– Right onto Irwin Street
– Back to Krog Street
Krog Street southbound
– Right onto Irwin Street
– Left onto Randolph Street
– Right onto Edgewood Avenue
– Left onto Boulevard
– Left onto DeKalb Avenue
– Back to Krog Street
Because of the Krog closure, there is now a revised detour for Edgewood Avenue westbound to get around the bridge reconstruction area:
– Right onto Krog Streeet
– Left onto Irwin Street
– Left onto Randolph Street
– Back to Edgewood Avenue

Perhaps it’s implicit when you say “motorists should follow the detour routes listed below”, but the road (or at least the sidewalk) is remaining open to cyclists and pedestrians. It pays to commute on two wheels! See here:

Perhaps not as clear as it should be. We’ll add the specifics. Thanks for noting that.
