On the table are five potential new rail stations – Covington Highway, Wesley Chapel Road, Panola Road, Lithonia Industrial Boulevard and Mall at Stonecrest – along with a new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service between Downtown Atlanta and Wesley Chapel Road. MARTA is already conducting environmental studies on the impact of the expansion.
The meetings will begin with an open house from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a formal presentation and question and answer session from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public is invited to drop in at any of the three meetings to learn more about the project, speak with project team staff, and provide input and feedback on the project. The same information will be presented at each meeting.
