Fulton County Commission breaks ground on the new aviation cultural center.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday for the 16,200 square-foot Fulton County Aviation Community Cultural Center scheduled to open in May 2014 on Aviation Boulevard near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  The Center has been designed as a community gathering place focusing on the history of North American Aviation, training for aviation careers, visual and performing arts. Initiated by a community advisory group in 1999, the project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners in 2010.
