Two seats on Brookhaven City Council are up for election this year.

Qualifying for Council Districts 2 and 4 is from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Aug. 26-28. Interested candidates must file with the city clerk at Brookhaven City Hall, 200 Ashford Center North, Suite 150 in Dunwoody. A $360 fee is required to qualify.Candidates must file during the three-day qualifying period to appear on the ballot Nov. 5.

Advance voting will be held Oct. 14-Nov. 1 at the DeKalb County elections office at 4380 Memorial Dr., Suite 300 in Decatur. Brookhaven residents must register to vote by Oct. 7 to be eligible to vote in the municipal election.
