APD public affairs manager Carlos Campos said in an email to local media that the spate of recent incidents of car break-ins and vandalism in the Boulevard corridor are “unacceptable to us, and our investigators are working to find the perpetrators of these crimes.”

Campos said citizens can help prevent break-ins by removing laptops, GPS units, smartphones and even coins to make cars unattractive to criminals.  The public is encouraged to stop by and pick up hangtags that can be placed on rearview mirrors stating that their car is a  “Clean Car” free of valuables to steal.
