Decatur Police are investigating a daylight robbery yesterday evening, Aug. 3, around 6:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Fayetteville Road in the Oakhurst neighborhood. The suspects (both black males approximately 14-17 years old) ran up behind the victims and one pointed a handgun and demanded everything from the victim’s pockets. A wallet and set of keys were taken. The suspects then ran to a newer model charcoal gray Dodge Charger (unknown tag) and fled south toward Hosea Williams Boulevard.

I was walking only a few blocks away from there last night at the same time, and my dad and I were about to go on a walk again tonight. I’m glad we decided against it.
