Two incumbent Dunwoody City Councilmen were among four candidates who qualified on Aug. 26 to run for seats on the council, City Clerk Sharon Lowery said.

Councilman Denis Shortal filed to run for District 1, Post 1. Challenger Henley Shelton also filed to run for the position.

Heyward Wescott filed for the District 2, Post 2 seat.

Councilman Doug Thompson filed for the District 3, Post 3 seat he now represents.

Candidates file with the clerk to take part in the Nov. 5 election. Qualifying of candidates began Aug. 26 and continues through 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30.
