The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) will hold four public information sessions in September and October 2013 to provide details on the ending of tolls and toll booth demolition at the GA 400 Toll Plaza.

Two will be held in Cumming and the other two in metro Atlanta. Those closest to Intown are on Sept. 24 from 4-7 p.m. at the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, 11605 Haynes Bridge Road in Alpharetta, and on Oct. 24 from 4-7 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia, 4355 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Atlanta.

During open house meetings, the public can learn more about preliminary plans for the end of toll collections and the demolition of the toll booths on GA 400. There will be no formal presentations, but transportation representatives will be on hand to share information.

In addition to Georgia 400 demolition project details, meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to receive information from other transportation agencies, including MARTA (rail and bus transit), GRTA (Xpress bus service) and the Clean Air Campaign (Georgia Commute Options program).

Early removal and modifications of redundant signage will begin in October. Tolls are slated to end on Nov. 21. and demolition of the toll plaza will begin in early 2014.
