The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners has agreed to a 30-day deferral for Fuqua Development’s planned Decatur Crossing development on the site of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church.

Earlier this month, Fuqua representatives had introduced a new site plan, which had not been seen by the community,  during a DeKalb Planning Commission meeting. This latest plan reduced the number of residential units to 18 and building height to three stories rather than the previously planned 200 units in a five-story building.  Residents on Blackmon Drive who saw the plan were also concerned about a new road connecting Decatur Crossing to their street.
