Little Five Points’ iconic feminist bookstore, Charis Books & More, was vandalized with vulgar anti-gay and anti-women slurs spray-painted on the building’s exterior last night, Oct. 3. The vandals struck sometime after the Stride Into Pride Literary Showcase, which brought out  a standing room only crowd to hear some of the city’s well-known LGBT authors kick off the Atlanta Pride festival.

According to a report in The GA Voice, an anonymous person called the Atlanta Police Department at approximately 11:14 p.m. to report seeing men loitering and painting the walls of the bookstore on Euclid Avenue.
