Fulton County Animal Services has issued a warning for two dogs who attacked a 16-year-old male student on the baseball field at the New Schools at Carver. Original reports stated there were two victims, but police have now determined that was just one. The original report also said that the two dogs were Rottweilers, but are now believed to be American Staffordshire Terriers.

The New Schools at Carver were put briefly on lockdown this afternoon after the attack. The Atlanta Police Department said the dogs were last seen headed towards Pryor Street and the Villages at Carver YMCA area. Fulton County Animal Control officers have set traps and are patrolling the area, according to a media release.

The student was taken to Grady Hospital and required reconstructive surgery for injuries to his face.
