Work on installing track for the Atlanta Streetcar has moved into the heart of Downtown with work now taking place at the intersections of Spring Street at Luckie Street and Spring at Carnegie Way.
According to report from Central Atlanta Progress, the team expects the work in these intersections to be complete by the end of the week. While the work is occurring, Spring Street will be reduced to one northbound travel lane between approximately Luckie Street and just north of Carnegie Way.
Track construction on Andrew Young International Boulevard will be advancing west of Williams Street soon. Likewise, track construction on Luckie is expected to advance east in the near future also.
Once completed next spring, the Atlanta Streetcar will connect the attractions around Centennial Olympic Park to the King Center.
