BuzzFeed, well known for its irreverent lists, compiled one for the 21 Most Popular Waffle Houses in America. Eight of them are in metro Atlanta (Avondale Estates, to be exact), where the company was founded in 1955. Waffle House now has 1,700 locations around the country.
BuzzFeed used social media check-in site Foursquare to help figure out which location was the most-visited and that honor went to the Waffle House on 5th Street in Technology Square in Midtown. The college kids at Georgia Tech must love those waffles.
