Buses are now at Atlanta Public Schools and Fulton County Schools to transport students stranded overnight at schools. The Georgia National Guard and Georgia State Patrol will be escorting the buses on their routes.
Fulton County, DeKalb County, Atlanta Public Schools and City of Decatur Schools have all announced they will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced it would tow cars abandoned on the interstates to impound yards, but then 15 minutes later reversed course and said it would just move cars to the roadsides and out of travel lanes.
