A 9 p.m. deadline to retrieve vehicles abandoned on interstates and state routes during the snowstorm has passed, so tow companies are now removing around 180 cars and trucks left behind. The state is removing cars from I-285, all interstates inside the Perimeter, Interstate 75 from I-285 to I-575 on the northwest side and on Interstate Highway 20 from I-285 to Six Flags Hill on the west side.
If you haven’t been able to retrieve your car, call 511 and have your tag number ready. You will be told where you car has been taken for impound.
In DeKalb County, cars have already been towed to various lots. Call (404) 297-3934 to find your car. You have until midnight Friday to pick up your car before fees are imposed.
The City of Atlanta is also towing cars and has waived impound fees. You find out more about retrieving your car if it was towed by the city at this link.
