A new map showing boundaries for the proposed cities of Lakeside and Tucker emerged this morning in a tweet from Rep. Scott Holcomb (D-Atlanta), who said he got the map from the Reapportionment Office. Proponents and opponents alike were demanding to see a revised map on Lakeside’s Facebook page, while the competing City of Briarcliff Initiative cried foul at Lakeside and Tucker’s lack of “transparency.”

The new map showing Lakeside and Tucker boundaries was shown to legislators during yesterday’s hearing in the House Governmental Affairs Committee, which ultimately voted to table the bill to create a city of Lakeside. The public did not get to see the map.

The legislative session ends March 20 and it’s unclear whether any of the proposed cityhood proposals will advance this year.
