Porsha Williams, star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and granddaughter of Civil Rights icon Hosea Williams, turned herself into the Fulton County Jail last night on a warrant for simple battery. She was released on $2,000 bail.
The warrant was taken out by Williams’ Housewives costar Kenya Moore after the two got into an altercation during the recent filming of the show’s reunion special at the Biltmore in Midtown. The episode where Porsha delivers the beatdown on Kenya is set to air Sunday, April 20, on Bravo. Happy Easter!
In previews of the episode, Kenya is shown using a megaphone and waving a jeweled scepter at Porsha. The reunion shows were taped on March 27, but Kenya just recently gave a witness statement and filed charges. I won’t question the timing, but the words “ratings” and “publicity” keep dancing in my head.
There’s a rumor circulating in the blogosphere that Porsha has been fired from the show, but Bravo has yet to confirm it.
