atlanta-traffic1-150x150The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is advising motorists to avoid I-20 if at all possible this weekend as road work resumes. Expect heavy backups around the Boulevard, Candler Road and Fulton Industrial exits, as well as in Newton and Douglas counties.

In Downtown, restriping on I-20 eastbound  will see three lanes shut down starting at 8 p.m. tonight, May 30, until 6 a.m. on Saturday morning and the same hours from Saturday night to Sunday morning. All projects are weather permitting.
