Summer has brought an influx of animals to DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) and Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS), and the shelters are full. Both shelters are offering a ‘Dog Days of Summer’ promotion throughout June, where all dogs and cats six months and over may be adopted for $25. Adoption counselors will be on hand to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes.

According to DCAS Shelter Director Susan Feingold, more animals are coming into the shelter than usual. “With summer here, we’re seeing twice as many animals coming into the shelter as usual,” she said

Adopters at both FCAS and DCAS will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, has had all vaccines and is microchipped – a $200 value. To view animals available for adoption, visit www.fultonanimalservices.com for FCAS or www.dekalbanimalservices.com for DCAS.
