The Atlanta Police Department has released surveillance footage of a group of males that robbed a man of his backpack at the Edgewood Retail District on June 25 just before 1 a.m. The video is grainy and there’s only a brief glimpse of the suspects starting at about the 1:54 mark.

According to the police report, the victim was outside the Barnes & Noble store texting his girlfriend when a Mitsubishi Galant drove by him with four black males inside. The Galant pulled into the deck that connects the shopping center surface parking lot to Caroline Street. The victim tried to ride away on his bike when the males approached and tried to take his cellphone. He was then punched in the face and a black bag containing his wallet and work clothes was taken.

Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at (404) 577-TIPS (8477), online at crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
