Hottest-neighborhoods-2-2013-07-21-warmingupBack in January, national real estate brokerage firm Redfin released its Top Ten Hottest Neighborhoods of 2014 list and the Morningside-Lenox Park neighborhood ranked number one in the Atlanta market and third nationwide. Seven months into 2014 and Morningside-Lenox Park remains hot, according to Redfin, with homes selling for $500,000-plus and 15.2 percent over list price.
Another Atlanta neighborhood, Inman Park, is now making national waves as Redfin ranks it fifth nationwide on its 10 Neighborhoods That Are Warming Up list. The median list price for a home is $365,000 in the neighborhood and Redfin agent Will Fassinger said the combination of historic and new homes along with amenities are drawing more attention.
“Inman Park has long been known for its incredible historic homes, both large and small,” Fassinger said. “The historic structures, combined with new, very desirable attractions, such as The Beltline and Krog Street Market, are drawing more and more people to the neighborhood, securing its status with locals as a favorite area.”
