Atlanta Police have made two arrests in a high-profile assault that happened in Midtown and was caught on video and posted to YouTube. Dorian Darnell Boyd, 39, and Natasha Boyd, 44, have both been arrested and face numerous battery and assault charges, while Ms. Boyd also got a parking violation. Mr. Boyd attacked several people with a cane on Piedmont Avenue near the intersection of 10th Street after he was asked to move a car that was blocking the roadway at The Pet Set.

The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management fired 13 of its employees Friday following an investigation of theft and policy issues, according to a report from our media affiliate CBS46. According to Mayor Kasim Reed, the city began an investigation months ago and said the firings were “deemed necessary and appropriate.”

Atlanta Police are looking for at least two other suspects who were part of a series of carjackings and assaults at Phipps Plaza, Edgewood Retail District and two other locations. Steven Spigner, 17, was arrested by police last week and indicted in both Fulton and DeKalb counties for the string of incidents, according to a report at the AJC.
