The Zesto’s on Ponce de Leon Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward has announced it will close on Sept. 20, according to a report from Tomorrow’s News Today. Zesto Drive-In has been serving up burgers, fries, shakes and dipped cones (oh, we do love those!) at the location for 60 years.

Zesto locations in Little Five Points, East Confederate & Moreland Avenue in Southeast Atlanta, near Lindbergh MARTA station on Piedmont Road, on Forest Parkway in Forest Park and on Carriage Oaks Drive in Tyrone will remain open.

UPDATE: Tomorrow’s News Today has confirmed that burger chain Cook Out will take over the Zesto space and leave the exterior building intact. North Carolina-based Cook Out has already proven a hit with its first location in Atlanta on Moreland Avenue. The drive-thru line is frequently wrapped around the building, especially on weekends. Another location is planned for Northside Drive near Georgia Tech.
