The Atlanta Police Department was busy at Lenox Square in Buckhead yesterday and this morning with two incidents bringing out officers.

An argument led to gunfire in the parking lot of Lenox Square in Buckhead on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 18, according to our media affiliate CBS46. According to a spokesperson with Atlanta police, the argument occurred inside the mall, which resulted in shots being fired in the parking lot just after 4 p.m. There were no injuries. Lenox Square issued a statement Thursday evening stating it was working closely with the Atlanta Police Department on the investigation. Police continue to search for a suspect.

Police were back at Lenox Square this morning, Sept. 19, to control an unruly crowd of several hundred people who had lined up to purchase the new Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The AJC reports that Atlanta police were called in just before 5:30 a.m. to assist with crowd control. According to police dispatch logs, a caller advised 911 operators that there was a large dispute and “everyone is getting out of control.” A witness later said that people where trampled and shoved out of the way as Apple diehards tried to make their way into the mall.
