The City of Sandy Springs has announced the availability of FY 2015 funding for eligible non-profit agencies and community organizations that serve residents of Sandy Springs.  The available funding pool is $50,000.

To be eligible for funding, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization in good standing, located in the city or substantially serving residents of the city.  The organization should provide programs or services to residents of Sandy Springs and must support the goals and objectives of at least one of the City Council’s adopted priorities: Public Safety, Transportation, Recreation and Cultural Enhancement, Natural Resource Protection, Community Appearance, Downtown Development or Economic Development.  Resources are not granted to support operational, administrative or fundraising functions.

The application, requirements and instructions are available  at www.sandyspringsga.gov/ServingSandySprings.  Applications must be submitted using the online submission tool, and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.

The city will hold a training session at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the City Hall Training Room adjacent to City Council Chambers, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500. While not mandatory, interested applicants are encouraged to attend as the session is geared toward helping prepare the most competitive application possible.
