UnknownA Dallas nurse infected with Ebola was expected to arrive at Emory University Hospital tonight, Oct. 15, for treatment, but CBS46 is reporting that the nurse traveled on Frontier Airlines from Dallas to Cleveland before her diagnosis.

Amber Vinson, the second Dallas-area nurse to be diagnosed with Ebola, boarded Frontier Airlines flight 1143 from Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport to Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport on Monday evening, landing at 8:16 p.m. The plane remained grounded overnight in Dallas, when Frontier says it received a thorough routine cleaning.

While Vinson arrived at Texas Presbyterian Hospital on Tuesday morning with a low-grade fever, that plane departed Dallas for Cleveland. From there, the plane made a round trip between Cleveland and Ft. Lauderdale’s Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday afternoon. The plane then made a round trip between Cleveland and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world.

Vinson tested positive for the Ebola virus on Tuesday night.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) then notified Frontier officials of the situation. The plane has since been grounded in Cleveland. The Centers for Disease Control is asking passengers who flew on flight 1143 to contact them at 1-800-232-4636.

Emory University has treated three others infected with Ebola since the outbreak began in Africa.
