Residents of Sandy Springs are discovering new uses for a grass field created in the area where city officials plan to build the city Civic Center. Dermot Waters, and his children Will, 9, and Regan, 6, below and at bottom, used the field for a bit of baseball practice on Saturday, Oct. 18. “My sister, Regan, plays hardball on the boys league, and I plan on playing in the major league someday.” Will said.
