The Atlanta BeltLine, MARTA and Atlanta Streetcar are hosting a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the environmental assessments for extending the streetcar route. The meeting will take place at Central United Methodist Church, 501-7 Mitchell St. Free park is available on site or take MARTA to the Vine City station. Routes and MARTA connections are expected to be discussed as the extension formally moves forward with the Federal Transit Administration.

The BeltLine will also hold a formal groundbreaking for the Westside Trail on Nov. 12 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at 1076 Allene Avenue. As the next significant milestone for the BeltLine, the Westside Trail is a three-mile multi-use trail that will connect Washington Park in the north to Adair Park in the south, while connecting to four schools, four parks, and the future Urban Farm.
