The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) announces the third annual Georgia Gives Day will take place on Nov. 13. This online fundraiser will drive awareness and donations for participating nonprofits across the state, as Georgians come together for a 24-hour day of giving.
Since the inaugural event in 2012, Georgia Gives Day has brought more than 1,700 participating nonprofits together with nearly19,000 donors to raise more than $2.5 million that directly benefited these nonprofits. Donors can give directly via the Georgia Gives Day website online or through their mobile device.
“In 2013, we reached a new level of engagement among our nonprofits and corporate partners for Georgia Gives Day, and Georgians stepped up and nearly doubled the results from our inaugural year,” said Karen Beavor, president and CEO of GCN. “We’ve built on that momentum and are excited to reach new heights in 2014.”
