The 33rd annual Veterans Day Parade will be held tomorrow, Nov, 8, in Downtown. The parade will step off at 11:11 a.m. on Peachtree Street south of Ralph McGill/Ivan Allen Boulevard, proceeding south on Peachtree to Baker Street, Marietta Street and ending at the intersection of Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Marietta Street.
The parade’s reviewing stand will be on Baker Street between the World of Coca Cola and Georgia Aquarium. The 2014 Grand Marshall is Capt. Dale Dye, USMC (Ret.), who is now an author and film consultant, providing expertise for films including “Saving Private Ryan,” “Band of Brothers,” and “The Great Raid.”
The World of Coca-Cola will offer its year-round free admission to members of the Armed Forces (active duty, reserves and retirees), but from Nov. 8 through Nov. 16, members of the Armed Forces may also purchase up to four half-price general admission tickets for their friends and family. Military members and retirees can present their valid Armed Forces ID cards at the World of Coca-Cola ticket windows.
