The Doris and Alex Weber Jewish Community High School will officially change its name to The Felicia Penzell Weber Jewish Community High School at a renaming ceremony on the Weber campus, 6751 Roswell Road, on Nov. 25.
The new name honors Felicia Penzell Weber, school co-founder, who passed away last year.
“Weber would not be what it is today without Felicia,” said Tonia Sellers, president of The Weber School Board of Trustees, in a press release. “Her early support – both visionary and financial – allowed the school to take root and grow. She would be proud to see the once fledging institution turn 18 this year, see the strength of its academics, the vibrancy of its Jewish life, the success of its students and graduates.”
