Saying he still feels “confident” that two parcels of property south of I-85 would be a good thing for Brookhaven, Mayor J. Max Davis went on to explain on Dec. 2 that the council was once again deferring voting on annexing Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Executive Park into the city while agreements are worked on to pay for services in the area.

Councilman Joe Gebbia made the motion to defer the vote until a special called meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m.

Owners of the two office parks, located south of I-85, asked in October to become part of the city, saying they would pay for extra Brookhaven Police officers that would be required for the area so as to not cost city taxpayers anything.
