Peachtree Lutheran Church’s Living Nativity
Peachtree Lutheran bills its annual outdoor nativity scene as the oldest in Atlanta. The scene, complete with a donkey, sheep and other animals, goes on display on the church lawn Friday through Sunday, Dec. 12, 13 and 14, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. each night.
The nativity is staged on the front lawn of the church located at the corner of Narmore Drive on Peachtree Road, one half mile north of Phipps Plaza and one half mile south of Brookhaven MARTA station.

Dunwoody United Methodist Church’s “A New Joy”
Dunwoody United Methodist Church’s annual Christmas concert features performances by the church’s Chancel Choir and guest orchestra and includes carols and works by Ola Gjeilo and C.G. Walden III.
The concert begins at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, in the church sanctuary at 1548 Mount Vernon Road.
Lutheran Church of the Ascension’s annual Service of Lessons & Carols
The Alachua Consort Ensemble performs pieces of the Baroque Era and several members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus sing Bach arias. A champagne reception will follow the service. The service begins at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the church, which is located at 4000 Roswell Road.

Choral Guild of Atlanta’s “The Many Moods of Christmas”
The guild’s annual concert features guest conductor James Bohart, directing movements from the Mass in E-flat by American composer Amy Beach. Hear German chorales by Johann Sebastian Bach and carols. An audience-participation carol sing also is scheduled. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Northside Drive Baptist Church, 3100 Northside Drive.

Atlanta History Center’s “Candlelight Nights”
The Atlanta History Center’s offers candlelit strolls through the woods and tours of three historic homes decorated for the season. Experience holiday traditions of years past with interpreters and carolers, cookie decorating, tree decorating and theater productions. Food for purchase; cash bar. Tickets: $10, members; $15, nonmembers; $8, children.

Christmas with the Georgia Boy Choir
Peachtree Road United Methodist Church hosts Christmas with The Georgia Boy Choir. Event features all five levels of boys, a full orchestra, and lots of audience participation, including a “Twelve Days of Christmas” sing-along. Tickets priced at $12 to $40. Shows are scheduled Friday, Dec. 19, and Saturday, Dec. 20, starting at 7 p.m. each night in at the church, 3180 Peachtree Road.

Northwest Presbyterian Church carol sing-a-long.
Northwest Presbyterian plans a Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long on Sunday, Dec. 21. The congregation is inviting members of the community to a fee hot breakfast starting at 9 a.m., followed by a session at 9:30 a.m. to learn more about carols and then a worship service at 11 a.m. The church is located at 4300 Northside Drive NW.
