
Aeman Lovel Presley, arrested last week for the murders of two homeless men and a Smyrna hairstylist, has also been charged in the shooting death of Calvin Gholston, 53, in September. Atlanta Police said during a morning news conference that Gholston was found shot to death in the Spring Mill Village shopping center on Memorial Drive in DeKalb County.
Presley is charged with the shooting deaths of Dorian Jenkins, who was shot on Ralph McGill Boulevard on Nov. 23, and Tommy Mims, who was found Nov. 26 on Northside Drive near Whitehall Street. Both men were shot while they slept wrapped in bedding on the streets.
Pearce, a hairstylist from Smyrna, was found shot to death behind shops and restaurants in the 100 block of East Ponce de Leon Avenue after leaving Leon’s Full Service on Saturday night, Dec. 6. According to documents obtained by Decaturish, Presley allegedly confessed to the murder of Pearce and told police to where find the wallet he had stolen from her.
MARTA Police apprehended Presley on Dec. 11 after he tried to dodge the fare gate at the Georgia State station. After a scuffle with officers, Presley was arrested and police found a loaded revolver and ammunition on his person.
