Falcons owner Arthur Blank, left, and Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber shake hands after the official announcement last April.

Now that Atlanta has a Major League Soccer (MLS) team, it’s time to choose a name. Terminus Legion, the local MLS fan group, took recommendations and narrowed down the most popular nine (including the option for no name at all and simply going by Atlanta Soccer Club or Football Club).

The names to vote on: Bantams, Β Black Harts, Empire, Firebirds, Kings, Locomotives, Railrunners and Resurgents.

You have until Jan. 11 to cast your vote at this link.

  1. This are atrocious. The only one that remotely sounds “soccer-like” is Empire.

    Railrunners? Locomotives?? ……. Really?
