Atlanta police are seeking information about a person who hid in the tree line along West Paces Ferry Road Jan. 5, targeting passing cars with an air rifle, police say.

Sgt. Greg Lyon, a spokesman for Atlanta Police, said officers were dispatched to 500 West Paces Ferry Road around 8 p.m. because someone was firing an air rifle at passing cars.

Upon arrival, an officer found and interviewed three drivers whose passenger side rear windows were shattered, Lyon said, adding that a fourth victim was discovered a short distance away.

“Evidence on scene suggests these windows were shattered by a pellet of some kind fired from an air rifle,” he said. “No one was injured.
