Phipps Plaza’s grand chandelier, which hung in the Buckhead shopping mall’s Court of the South for 23 years, is being offered as a gift to a local philanthropic organization that can use the fixture either in its current space or to generate revenue in upcoming fundraising efforts. The ornate fixture is valued at $25,000 and hangs 10-feet wide by 12-feet tall.
Interested Atlanta non-profit organizations are invited to apply to receive the chandelier by sending relevant background information, contact information and a letter explaining the organization’s desire for the chandelier to Leslie Bland at Phipps Plaza (lbland@simon.com) by Feb. 28. For more information, call (404) 261-7910.
The chandelier is being replaced by a new modern light sculpture made of stainless steel and acrylic spheres as part of the mall’s ongoing renovations.
