The Georgia Department of Transportation is telling motorists to avoid non-essential travel on I-285 this weekend as sign repair and installation will continue, weather permitting.

The work will take place in various locations around the Perimeter, including the top end of I-285. The top-end  work will require two lane closures on the inner and outer loops from Ga. 400 to Ashford Dunwoody Road from 7:30 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday.

Additionally, on Ga. 400, one northbound and southbound lane will close between Sidney Marcus Boulevard and I-285 from 7 a.m. Saturday until 7 p.m. Sunday for fiber optic cable installation.
