State lawmakers have introduced legislation to create two new DeKalb County cities – LaVista Hills and Tucker.
Reps. Tom Taylor (R-Dunwoody) and Scott Holcomb (D-DeKalb) introduced the bill for LaVista, which calls for a vote in November on whether to create the city, according to a statement by LaVista Hills Yes.
Decaturish reports that Tucker bill’s was introduced by Holcomb and Rep. Billy Mitchell (D-Stone Mountain).
If either the legislation is approved by the General Assembly, residents of the proposed cities would vote on the proposed city this November.
