Buckhead residents should take pride in their community, which continues to grow and attract new development projects, Sam Massell, president of the Buckhead Coalition, said in his annual “State of the Community” address on March 12. Massell told members of the Buckhead Business Association that the community includes neighborhoods listed among those with the highest household incomes in the country. He also said that over the past three years, developers have announced or begun work on adding 10,512 apartments to the community, an 82 percent increase since Jan. 1, 2012. “Step by step, area by area, idea by idea, Buckhead continues to progress and prosper,” he said. “It’s a very healthy community. It’s progressing in so many ways.”
