The Georgia Senate on March 25 passed bills calling for a November vote on creation of two new DeKalb County cities, LaVista Hills and Tucker, according to the AJC and the LaVista Hills Yes Facebook page.

The state House had approved similar bills, and the Senate versions now go to the House for approval. A Senate committee shifted the line between the two proposed cities, moving about 2,000 residents from Tucker to LaVista Hills.
