Root CityRoot City Market will be taking over Stove Works on Krog Street in Inman Park for the spring edition of its quarterly pop-up market on April 18.

The Spring Pop-up Market is an indoor event and will include 40+ vendors of handcrafted goods such as small batch apparel and accessories, organic bath products, jewelry, art and much more.

This time around, there will be returning favorites like Block & Hammer, KMM & Co., and Flower Crown Society and new upstarts like Plymouth Rock and Little Barn Apothecary. There will also be a $500 Makers Giveaway where visitors can enter for a chance to win goods from Forestique, The Factory Press and Revive Bath & Body.

Jen Soong, founder and curator of Root City Market, says, “Root City is about putting the spotlight on the abundance of talented Southern makers and we are proud to help incubate local, emerging businesses. There are so many people looking for a way to support local and this is a fun, vibrant way to experience it all under one roof—where locals and makers can forge a meaningful connection.”

In addition to handmade shopping, there will be food and drink available from local favorites: Doggy Dogg, Homespun, nicobella organics, Simply Seoul and Wanderlust Cold Brew Coffee. There will be live musical entertainment presented by The Cottage with Atlanta singer-songwriter Sydney Eloise. Kids can make leaf-printed jewelry to celebrate Earth Day at the Be a Maker station with Trees Atlanta and guests can make blackout poetry and share it with the hashtag #rootcityblackout. Artist Sarah Lawrence will present two interactive community installations: “Draw Your Neighborhood,” a doodle-and-sketch concept, and “Exquisite City,” a giant coloring book.

Admission to Spring Pop-up Market is free of charge and adjacent parking deck is free. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. For more information, visit rootcitymarket.com.
