
U.S. Marshals in Florida have arrested a second suspect in the fatal shooting of a construction worker outside the Kroger supermarket on Ponce de Leon Avenue on March 10.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, Shontavious Chestnut, 26, was arrested in Pensacola on Thursday after a brief standoff with police. Chestnut is accused of driving the BMW which carried alleged shooter Demarius Thompson, 29, who was arrested on March 26 by Atlanta Police.
Alabama construction worker Joshua Richey, 38, was shot and killed after interrupting a burglar inside his truck. Richey – who had been working nearby – slapped his hand on the window of his truck to get the burglar’s attention and was allegedly shot through the window by Thompson.
