BeltLine Bike TourMay is National Bike Month and Decatur is celebrating in a big way with opportunities to pedal all month long.

Every Saturday: Sam’s Freight Room Ride, 2 p.m. Meet at 415 E Howard Avenue for an easy 11 mile ride through Avondale Estates, Oakhurst and Decatur.

May 16,23 & 30: Decatur Bikes Saturday Morning Breathe Easy Ride to Stone Mountain, 8 a.m. Meet at the CVS Parking lot across from Decatur Bikes on Ponce in downtown Decatur at 7:45 am.

May 6: Bike to School Day

May 9: Bike to Piedmont Park with Decatur Bikes, 9 a.m. Meet at the CVS Parking lot across from Decatur Bikes on Ponce in downtown Decatur at 7:45 a.m. No drop ride.

May 11 – 15: Bike to Work Week

May 12: Complete Street Workshop, 1-5 p.m. Decatur Recreation Center. Information at georgiabikes.org.

May 15: Bike to Work Day: Riders are invited to stop by Decatur Recreation Center between 7 and 10 a.m. for coffee and pastries on their way to work.

May 15: Third Friday Decatur Fun Ride, 6:30 p.m. Meet at Decatur Recreation Center. Followed by a visit to a local pub or restaurant for refreshments.

May 17: Bicycle South, 2098 N. Decatur Road, offers an easy no-drop ride to Stone Mountain Park, beginning from the store at 9 a.m. Refreshments at Bicycle South after the ride.

May 23 – 24: Bike Valet parking is offered at the Decatur Arts Festival. Sponsored by Bicycle South, the Decatur Arts Alliance and the City of Decatur.

May 30: Bike Registration before the Concert on the Square, 5 – 7 p.m. Bring your bike to have it registered by the Decatur Police. Pick up some Bike Safety information.
