Downtown Green Source, a program of Central Atlanta Progress (CAP), will host a series of events and programs in support of National Bike Month. Throughout May, cyclists of all levels can participate in basic maintenance classes, fix-a-flat competitions, energizer stations and more.
Bike-In Breakfast
May 7, 7-9 a.m.

Downtown Green Source, in conjunction with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, will offer a fun, morning networking opportunity for bicycle commuters at Downtown’s hottest new coffee shop. Free breakfast and coffee will be provided.
Yoga in the Park
May 13, 6-7 p.m.
Woodruff Park lawn
Ride your bike to Woodruff Park to enjoy a free yoga class. CAP and Yoga with Friends will lead an all-levels class that is open to everyone, including first-timers. All you need to bring is a mat or towel and a bottle of water.
Bicycle Energizer Station

Woodruff Park Reading Room near the intersection of Peachtree St. and Auburn Ave. Grab some high-fives and a quick bite to eat on the way into the office as a reward for cycling to work.
Fix-a-Flat During Lunch
May 15, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The Snyder Cycles truck will be onsite to provide lessons on how to change a flat tire and clean and lubricate bicycle chains. Stop by any time between 11:30 and 1:30 for a quick lesson so that you’re prepared the next time you get a flat. Already know how to change a flat? At 12:30 for a fix-a-flat contest to prove you’re the fastest tire-changer in all the land. Winner will receive a gift certificate to Snyder Cycles.
Confident City Cycling Class
May 30, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

This condensed, yet comprehensive class teaches beginning cyclists how to confidently and safely commute to Downtown. The class is divided into three segments: a brief in-classroom portion; an on-bike skills section; and a road-ride. Come learn about crash avoidance, lane positioning and bicycle maintenance!
