More than a dozen same-sex couples came to the Fulton County Government Center to be wed hours after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled it was unconstitutional to ban LGBT couples from marrying.

Fulton Probate Judge Pinkie Toomer and the entire Fulton County government have been readying for the ruling and numerous judges were on hand to take part in the historical day. And the judges all got to say, “By the power vested in me by the state of Georgia” I pronounce you married.

More than 100 people—family members, friends, and others who just wanted to see history in the making—packed into the Assembly room of the center. After each couple was pronounced wed, the crowd erupted in applause.

In this video, Fulton County Probate Judge Pinkie Toomer marries the first couple of Friday’s wedding ceremonies.
