The Georgians for Local Area School Systems organization continues its fundraising efforts with a chance to meet legislators over dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at McKendrick’s Steak House in Dunwoody.
Parents and supporters are encouraged to meet legislators and hear about future legislation allowing the creation of independent school systems in Georgia. The suggested donation is $100 and complimentary light hors d’oeuvres, beer wine and soda will be offered.
